Funding Strategy Statement for Transformation of Dangerous Spaces

As part of our strategic funding plan for Transformation of Dangerous Spaces, ALCHEMIA Art Workshop is pursuing a diversified fundraising approach, engaging with over 120 targeted funding sources across government, philanthropic, and private sectors. Our total project budget of $2.2 million is being raised through modest, manageable asks—averaging $20,000 per funder—demonstrating both our realistic expectations and our deep commitment to financial responsibility.

This approach reflects the seriousness with which we are building this initiative. By not relying on any single source of funding, we are ensuring the long-term viability and independence of the project. We have conducted extensive research to align each ask with the priorities of the funder, and our outreach is tailored to those whose values and missions intersect with our goals: safety, community transformation, artistic innovation, and gender equity.
